Opening celebration for Under Scores: 2026 Weitzman Fine Arts MFA Thesis Exhibition

Thursday, April 30, 2026 5pm–8pm

Please join us for the opening celebration of Under Scores, the 2026 Weitzman Fine Arts MFA Thesis Exhibition, presenting new work by eight graduating MFA candidates whose practices ask what it means to live inside complex systems that often elude our attention.

The celebration spans two venues: the Arthur Ross Gallery in the historic Frank Furness-designed Fisher Fine Arts Library and the newly constructed Gordon Gallery in Weitzman Hall. Together they present the culminating work of Ana González, Cacie Rosario Jackson, Sol Kim, Dylan Li, Jingyi Ling, Noa Mori Machover, Shay Myerson, and Ambika Trasi.

Remarks will take place at 6 pm in the Arthur Ross Gallery by Dr. Gwendolyn DuBois Shaw, Inaugural Faculty Director of the Arthur Ross Gallery and the James and Nan Farquar Professor of the History of Art; Sharon Hayes, Professor and Chair of Fine Arts; and Emily Zimmerman, 2026 Weitzman Fine Arts MFA Thesis Exhibition curator.

Join us to celebrate the artists and experience the exhibition with the Penn community!
