A Conversation with Audrey Flack

12:00 PM Join Many Voices, Many Visions curator Lynn Marsden-Atlass for a conversation with internationally acclaimed artist Audrey Flack whose work World War II (Vanitas) 1975 is on view in the exhibition. This conversation will focus on Flacks use of the dye-transfer photographic process.

Audrey Flack (American, born 1931) World War II (Vanitas), 1975 Dye transfer photograph University of Pennsylvania Art Collection Gift of Seymour Passman Audrey Flack is an internationally acclaimed painter and sculptor and a pioneer of photorealism. Ms. Flack enjoys the distinction of being the first Photorealist painter whose work was purchased by the Museum of Modern Art for its permanent collection. Among many major museums around the world, her work also resides in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Butler Institute of American Art, the National Gallery of Australia, The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, and the Allen Memorial Art Museum.
