June Lopez performs a live virtual set consisting of improvs and experiments from various sound sources. “Re-assemble” focuses on the intersections of sound and health, based on the artist’s personal journey through cancer treatment.
June Lopez is a Philadelphia native who is an interdisciplinary artist, composer, and experimentalist of Latin, Jazz, and Techno music. As a composer, a mix engineer, producer, he’s collaborated, with the likes of Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Wadud Ahmad, Brian Keith, Amber Art and Design, Monica McIntyre, and The Last Poets.
Lopez’s continual focus is exploring the way different cultural/music influences shape sound today. His latest achievement is becoming the sound designer and editor for Audio Olney, which focuses on stories of the diverse ethnic and socio-economic neighborhood of Olney in Philadelphia -co-curating and collaborations with Amber Art and Design.
