Conversation with with Hoang Tran

5:30 PM A Conversation with Hoang Tran, Pennsylvania Academy of Fin Arts Archives Coordinator  Please join us for a public conversation between Hoang Tran, the Archives Coordinator at PAFA, and Haely Chang, Tara Giangrande, and Annie Cross, three students in the curatorial seminar that organized the exhibition. They will discuss the nature of the seminar, their research, and ways in which archival materials informed their curatorial decisions. Hoang Tran Hoang Tran is a certified archivist who has diverse experience working in various universities, museums, and government archives in Philadelphia and New York City. He earned his BA from Rutgers University in History with a double minor in Art History and European Studies. He graduated from Drexel University with an MLIS (Archival Studies) and was the first recipient of the Knower Fund Fellowship awarded by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Special Libraries Association. Hoang is currently the Museum Archivist at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) in Philadelphia, where he assumes a key role in the expansion of the museum’s archival program and development of the new Center for the Study of American Art opening late 2016.
