12@12 with Lee Ann Custer, Ph.D. Candidate, University of Pennsylvania A Tasty Art Nugget in 12 minutes flat! Often cited as a predecessor to Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright, Frank Furness created some of the most inventive and eclectic architecture in late nineteenth century America. Join Lee Ann Custer, Ph.D Candidate specializing in American architecture, for a brief discussion of Furness’s design for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, as well as that of the Fisher Fine Arts Library at the University of Pennsylvania—another one of Furness’s masterpieces, and the fitting site of this talk and the accompanying exhibition.
